Job Description
The Tourism Community Development Trust (TCD Trust) requires a full-time Trust Manager to handle the communication, marketing and general administration of the Trust.
Full details of the TCD Trust can be found at http://tcdtrust.org.za. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, goal-driven individual who will handle all aspects of the day-to-day running of the trust.
Communication
Develop and maintain good relations and constant communication with:
- Tourism industry
- “Friends of the trust”
- Individuals who donate to the trust
- General public
- The Media
- Existing project stakeholders
- Current project stakeholders (Blomvlei Project)
- TCD Trust website
- Keeping content up-to-date
- Blogging
- Compiling and sending monthly TCD Trust newsletter
Marketing
- Recruit new “friends of the trust”Â
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing “friends”Â
Administration
- Managing “friends” subscriptions/fees
- Issue invoices and receipts
- Assist project managers (Blomvlei Project)
- Assist professional fundraisers (Blomvlei Project)
- Report to the trustees
Essential Skills
- Self motivated
- Goal driven
- Manage own time effectively
- Ability to “sell” the trust and its values to industry
- Good written and verbal communication
- Good with admin
- Good computer/internet literacy
Beneficial
- Experience in travel industry
- Experience in an NGO
- Marketing/sales background
Remuneration
Basic + commission (depending on experience)
