Blomvlei Multi-Purpose Centre project was initiated by the Tourism Community Development Trust in response to Blomvlei Primary School’s expression of need through the 567mw Cape Talk “Silence the Violence” campaign in 2005. The purpose of the project is to build a multi-purpose facility on the premises of the Blomvlei Primary School grounds in Hanover Park. Facilities to be developed at the Blomvlei Multi-Purpose Centre include: Library, Media Resource Centre, Hall, Indoor Recreation Area, Conference Facilities, Outdoor Recreation & Sports Area and an Urban Greening Area.
