The Trust has taken this independent school in the Joe Slovo Informal settlement in Langa under it’s wing and a number of initiatives are under way to help ease the burden on these enterprising educators. Enver Malley, one of the TCD trustees took talk-show host Oprah Winfrey to the school recently. After seeing the work of the trust, Oprah pledged to pay the salaries of all the teachers for the next 3 years. Thank you Oprah!
